Tehran - Saba:
Iran strongly condemned the US and British aggression on Yemen, describing it as a flagrant violation of the UN Charter and international laws, stressing that it comes within the context of supporting the genocide against the Palestinians and the continued occupation of Palestine.
According to the Iranian News Agency (IRNA), Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmail Baghaei said, "This aggression is a blatant violation of the principles of the UN Charter and the basic rules of international law that prohibit the use of force and respect the territorial integrity and sovereignty of states."
The Iranian spokesman emphasized that this joint military attack against the resistant Yemeni people comes within the framework of the continued support by these two countries for the crimes of genocide being perpetrated against the Palestinian people, and an attempt to suppress any form of solidarity and support for the legitimate rights of the Palestinians.
He pointed out that the roots of insecurity in the West Asia region lie in the ongoing killing and occupation in occupied Palestine, which continues with the full support of the United States, Britain, and some other Western countries, placing regional and international peace and security in unprecedented danger.
