Tehran - Saba:
Iran has strongly condemned the American and British aggression on Yemen, describing it as a blatant violation of the United Nations Charter and international laws. Iran emphasized that this aggression is part of the ongoing support for the genocide against the Palestinians and the continuation of the occupation in Palestine.
According to the Iranian News Agency "IRNA," the spokesperson for the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ismail Baghaei, stated, "This aggression is a blatant violation of the principles of the United Nations Charter and the fundamental rules of international law, which prohibit the use of force and respect the territorial integrity and sovereignty of states."
The Iranian spokesperson affirmed that this joint military assault against the resilient Yemeni people is part of the continuous support for the genocidal crimes committed against the Palestinian people, and an attempt to suppress any form of solidarity and support for the legitimate rights of the Palestinians.
He pointed out that the roots of insecurity in the West Asia region stem from the ongoing killings and occupation in occupied Palestine, which continues with the full support of the United States, Britain, and some other Western countries, posing an unprecedented threat to regional and international peace and security.
