Gaza - Saba:
The Government Media Office in Gaza has denied the statements issued by the spokesperson for the Israeli army regarding Beit Lahia massacre, calling them lies and fabrications.
In a statement, the Government Media Office said, "The statement published by the Israeli army spokesperson, attempting to justify the Beit Lahia massacre, once again proves that this army and its leaders commit crimes and then fabricate lies and stories driven by their criminal imagination."
The office further pointed out, "A quick review of the statement revealed discrepancies. The photo identified as martyr Bilal Abu Matar is not his. This serves as evidence of the enemy’s arbitrariness and the fabrication of false justifications. If the photo does not belong to the person in question, how can the information about him be trusted?"
The statement continued: "The full name listed for martyr Mahmoud Aslim is incorrect, as it belongs to someone who is still alive. Moreover, the individual named Suhaib al-Najjar, mentioned in the statement, was not part of the crew and was not among the victims of the massacre. So, where did the enemy army get this information?"
The office also addressed the name of martyr Muhammad al-Ghafir, questioning how the Israeli army and its intelligence could have such details if they did not even know his full name.
Additionally, the office clarified that the person referred to as Mustafa Hammad, described as a journalist and activist, had no connection to relief or media work and was not part of the crew. "Where did the enemy get this information from?" the statement asked.
The Media Office further noted that some of the names mentioned had been circulated on social media before their inaccuracy was proven, implying that the Israeli army relied on false and hastily gathered information for its claims, without properly verifying the identities of the victims.
The statement concluded by emphasizing that the Israeli enemy army’s crime in Beit Lahia against the relief and media crew was premeditated, with the crew being bombed twice after being deliberately pursued. It stressed that the Israeli enemy army’s attempts at deception and misinformation would not absolve them of responsibility for the massacre.
