Gaza - Saba:
The Director General of Forensic Medicine in Gaza Strip, Dr. Khalil Hamadeh, accused the Zionist enemy of seeking to erase evidence and documents that prove it committed war crimes against Palestinians in Gaza Strip, by directly targeting forensic medicine institutions , health facilities, preventing the entry of vital supplies and tools needed to identify the identities of martyrs.
Hamadeh said on Sunday, in a press statement, that the enemy army deliberately seeks to obliterate everything that could incriminate its crimes, pointing out that soldiers scattered the files of the martyrs' examination in hospital yards and destroyed the work equipment for autopsies, which further complicated the work of the specialized teams and hindered documentation and investigation efforts.
Hamadeh explained that medical teams are facing a major shortage of staff, as there are only three forensic doctors serving all the governorates of Gaza Strip.
Hamadeh pointed out that dozens of bodies are still unidentified, explaining that in many cases, the reasons are due to the martyrdom of all family members at once, or the lack of communication between families during the height of the aggression, which prevented them from knowing the fate or whereabouts of the missing.
Hamadeh noted that the enemy army buried a number of martyrs after killing them, which led to the decomposition of their bodies before they were found.
The genocidal war committed by the enemy in Gaza Strip between October 7, 2023 and January 19, with the support of the United States, Britain and a number of European countries, left more than 160,000 Palestinian martyrs and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 11,000 missing, in one of the worst humanitarian disasters in the world.
