Hodeidah - Saba:
The Tahama Organization for Rights & Development and Human Heritage has strongly condemned the crimes committed by U.S. aggression, which targeted the Al-Habashi Iron Factory in Bajil, the cotton gin in the city of Zabid, and several other areas in Hodeidah Governorate.
In a statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), the organization stated that these attacks are part of a scheme to destroy the local economy and impoverish the people of Tihama.
The organization emphasized that these crimes reveal a deliberate hostile approach aimed at targeting Yemen’s economic infrastructure, as the destruction of productive and vital facilities severely impacts the livelihoods of thousands of families.
The statement also pointed out that the cotton gin in Zabid is one of the key economic establishments relied upon by farmers and local industries. Its targeting constitutes a crime intended to destroy the agricultural sector and deprive citizens of their sources of income.
The organization held the United States and its allies fully responsible—both legally and humanely—for the consequences of these crimes. It stressed that the continuation of such attacks necessitates an urgent international response to halt repeated violations against the Yemeni people and to hold the perpetrators accountable.
Furthermore, the organization called for a firm international stance against this dangerous escalation, affirming that international silence only encourages the continued targeting of civilians and economic infrastructure.
