Occupied al-Quds – Saba:
60,000 worshippers performed Isha and Tarawih prayers on Tuesday at the blessed al-Aqsa Mosque, despite the strict military measures imposed by the Zionist enemy forces on access to the mosque.
The Islamic Endowments Department in al-Quds, affiliated with Jordan, estimated that "approximately 60,000 worshippers performed Isha and Tarawih prayers at al-Aqsa Mosque, the majority of whom are residents of the Holy City or from within the 1948 territories, as the Zionist enemy authorities prevent thousands of Palestinians from the West Bank governorates from reaching al-Quds to pray at al-Aqsa Mosque."
In a statement issued on the first day of Ramadan, the Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, urged Palestinians to "travel to al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied al-Quds and to hold vigil and retreat, in light of the increasing restrictions imposed by the enemy to restrict worshippers' access to the mosque during the month of Ramadan."
Hamas added, "Let the blessed days and nights of Ramadan be filled with obedience, steadfastness, and resistance to the enemy and its settler herds, and with the defense and protection of al-Quds and al-Aqsa until they are liberated from the desecration of the Zionist enemy."
It also called on Palestinians throughout the world to "launch the broadest initiatives and activities in solidarity with their people in the Gaza Strip, the West Bank, and al-Quds."
