Hamas affirms commitment to ceasefire agreement

Hamas affirms commitment to ceasefire agreement
[Wed, 19 Mar 2025 22:06:26 +0300]

Gaza – Saba:

Hamas has stated that "the ground incursion into the central Gaza Strip constitutes a new and dangerous violation of the ceasefire agreement."

In a statement issued Wednesday evening, the movement affirmed its commitment to the "signed ceasefire agreement."

It called on the guarantor mediators to "assume their responsibilities in curbing the violations, obligating Netanyahu to reverse the violations, and holding him accountable for any repercussions that may result."

It noted that "the repeated Zionist threats, voiced by the Minister of Defense, to displace our people reveal the depth of the crisis facing the Netanyahu government."

It emphasized that "the Zionist threats will not weaken the resolve of our Palestinian people nor will they undermine their adherence to their land and national rights."

It indicated that "our Palestinian people will remain steadfast on their land, clinging to their rights, and will thwart all attempts at forced or voluntary displacement."

The statement concluded by emphasizing that "there is no migration except to al-Quds," in response to calls for the displacement of the people of the Gaza Strip.

The Israeli enemy resumed its aggression on the Gaza Strip at dawn Tuesday and the courtyard of the Baptist Hospital in Gaza City was filled with the bodies of children and women after being targeted by warplanes while they slept in their homes and in the tents of displaced people in the northern Gaza Strip.

This was the most significant violation of the fragile ceasefire agreement brokered by Qatar, Egypt, and the United States last January.

The enemy government, headed by Benjamin Netanyahu, is refusing to initiate the second phase of the agreement, as it seeks to release more prisoners held by the resistance without fulfilling the obligations of this phase, particularly ending the war of extermination and withdrawing completely from Gaza.

With American and European support, the enemy forces committed genocide in Gaza between October 7, 2023, and January 19, 2025, leaving more than 160,000 Palestinians dead and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 14,000 missing.
