The local authority in the capital Sana'a has strongly condemned the continued US airstrikes targeting civilian areas and residential neighborhoods in the capital, which they say have resulted in dozens of civilian casualties, including women and children, and extensive property damage.
In a statement released on Wednesday, the local authority denounced the latest US aggression strike on a reception hall under construction in al-Thawra district, calling the aggression "full-fledged war crimes" and a violation of international law.
The statement asserted that the US aggression will only strengthen the Yemeni people's resolve to resist "American and Zionist tyranny," and that continued attacks will not deter their support for Gaza and the Palestinian cause.
The local authority reiterated its support for the political leadership's decisions to confront the "American and Zionist enemy" and aid Gaza, accusing the US of complicity in "genocidal" acts against Palestinians.
The statement further claimed that the US aggression on Yemen is part of a broader effort to support Zionism and its "brutal crimes" in the region, highlighting what they see as a disregard for international humanitarian norms. They also accused the international community and "traitorous regimes" of complicity in the bloodshed.
