Santiago - Saba:
The Chilean government expressed its dismay and strong condemnation of the brutal attack launched by the Israeli enemy against the civilian population in Gaza, which claimed the lives of more than 400 civilians, including a large number of women and children.
In a press statement, the government stated that this attack constitutes a flagrant violation of the ceasefire agreement, which came into effect on January 19, as well as of the most fundamental norms of international humanitarian law.
It urgently called for a ceasefire, respect for the agreement, which allows for the release of Israeli and Palestinian political prisoners, and the resumption of the dialogue process for a lasting peace.
