Sana'a - Saba:
The General Authority for the Preservation of Historic Cities and Monuments has condemned US aggression's raids targeting civilian areas near the historic city of Zabid, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Hodeida province.
In a statement released on Thursday, the authority reported a series of US raids targeting civilian infrastructure surrounding Zabid. It expressed concerns about the damage caused to historic landmarks and residential areas, endangering the lives of thousands of Zabid residents.
The authority called on the "free people of the world" to demand an end to the "unjustified" US aggression against Yemen, which violates UN charters and treaties concerning the protection of historic cities.
The authority's statement also urged regional and international organizations to take action to halt the aggression, emphasizing that Yemen's heritage is part of global human heritage.
