Bayda - Saba:
Bayda University colleges have received a solar energy system, funded by the Central Emergency Development Interventions Unit of the Ministry of Administration and Local and Rural Development, at a cost of $40,000.
Bayda governor Abdullah Idris oversaw the handover of the system and was briefed on its components by University Secretary Dr. Mohammed al-Saadi and Projects Director Engineer Tawfiq al-Wajeeh.
The system includes 36 solar panels with a total capacity of 2,770 watts, 10 batteries with a 2,000-amp capacity, a 30-kilowatt transformer, and a water pressure device for system maintenance.
Governor Idris emphasized the project's significance in addressing the university's electrical energy needs. He commended the Central Emergency Interventions Unit's support for educational projects, highlighting the system's role in improving the university's academic environment.
