Benedikt Hollerbach scored the decisive goal for Union Berlin in the 63rd minute. This win brings Union Berlin's points total to 34, placing them 13th in the league standings. Wolfsburg remains in 12th place with 38 points.
In another match, St. Pauli drew 1-1 with Borussia Mönchengladbach.
Mönchengladbach took the lead just before halftime, with a goal from Japanese player Ko Itakura in the second minute of stoppage time. However, St. Pauli's Oladapo Afolayan equalized in the 85th minute.
