Several Syrian cities witnessed mass demonstrations and sit-ins on Monday, denouncing the ongoing Zionist aggression on the Gaza Strip and the Zionist crimes and violations against civilians trapped there.
In the capital, Damascus, a demonstration took place during which demonstrators chanted slogans denouncing the international silence and the continued Zionist aggression on Gaza. The demonstrators also demanded the immediate delivery of aid to the residents of the Strip.
The demonstrators also raised slogans calling for an end to the war of extermination and chanted slogans emphasizing the need to confront the Zionist aggression and halt the repeated violations against Syrian territory. Demonstrators also raised Palestinian and Syrian flags, affirming their shared destiny and common struggle.
In the northern city of Aleppo, thousands of residents participated in a massive march that began in Saadallah al-Jabiri Square. Demonstrators expressed their support for Gaza and their anger at the ongoing Zionist war against civilians in the Strip.
At the University of Aleppo, students organized a massive protest, denouncing the Arab and international silence regarding the crimes of ethnic cleansing in Gaza. They emphasized that what the Syrian and Palestinian people are experiencing is a unified aggression, and that their fate is one in the face of Zionist policies and Western hegemony.
The city of Azaz in the northern countryside of Aleppo also witnessed a solidarity rally with the people of Gaza, organized by students from the Free Aleppo University. They raised slogans condemning the massacres committed against civilians and demanding immediate international intervention to stop the aggression.
In the central city of Hama, students from Hama University held a rally in support of the people of the Gaza Strip in the face of genocide. They held banners reading "We are all Gaza, our wound is one." They also called for a boycott of products that support the occupation, with banners reading "Your shopping list must not claim lives."
The Palestinian refugee camps spread across Syria also registered a widespread response to the call for a global strike.
Shops closed their doors in the Yarmouk, Khan al-Shih, Khan Dunoun, and Jaramana refugee camps in Damascus and its countryside, expressing solidarity with the people of Gaza and condemning the ongoing Zionist massacres.
The Global Campaign to Stop the Genocide in Gaza, an international coalition of civil society organizations, launched the call for a global strike, calling on the free people of the world to express their rejection of the Zionist war of extermination on Gaza.
The call was under the slogan: "For the sake of Gaza, its children, and its women, to stop its genocide and killing, we call on you, free people of the world, to participate in the global strike."
The campaign emphasized that participation represents "loyalty to Gaza" and to the victims of the Zionist aggression.
