Palestinian media reported that the city of Nablus is experiencing a unique state of siege and tightening restrictions imposed by the Israeli occupation army, which is steadily strangling the city by erecting numerous fixed and mobile military checkpoints, in addition to placing more iron gates on streets and intersections.
According to statistics reported by the Palestinian Quds Press Agency, the city of Nablus alone is surrounded by no less than 17 checkpoints and military gates, which Palestinians are forced to endure daily.
The past two days alone have witnessed the installation of nine iron gates around Nablus alone, a move many consider an increasing suffocation and siege of the city, paralyzing movement to and from other Palestinian cities and on external roads.
It is noteworthy that the number of iron gates installed by the Israeli enemy between the cities, towns, and villages of the West Bank since the beginning of the year has reached more than 20 new gates, while approximately 149 gates have been installed since October 7, 2023.
