A meeting in Sana'a, chaired by Minister of Health and Environment Dr. Ali Shiban, discussed on Tuesday aspects related to the work and tasks of the Medical Council.
The meeting, which included the ministry's undersecretaries, the head, deputy and members of the Medical Council, discussed the difficulties facing the work of the Council and ways to address them.
The meeting emphasized the importance of the Council's role in protecting the rights of patients , doctors, and the need to enable it to carry out its professional functions as the body legally competent to determine the rules and principles of practicing medical professions in Yemen.
The meeting also emphasized the Council's role in promoting the health sector, evaluating the outputs of universities, colleges , medical institutes, improving health services, and systematically reforming the status of hospitals.
