Gaza – Saba:
The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) affirmed that the criminal bombing that targeted a group of Palestinian journalists in their tent near Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunis, which led to the death of journalist Hilmi al-Faqawi and young man Yousef al-Khazindar, who were burned to death, in addition to the injury of nine other journalists, some of whom are in critical condition, is a heinous crime and a shameful continuation of the occupation's flagrant violations of all international laws and norms.
Hamas said in a statement: The ongoing targeting of Palestinian journalists, and the execution of 210 journalists by the enemy army in Gaza since the beginning of this brutal genocide, comes within the framework of the occupation's frantic efforts to obscure the truth of what is happening in the Gaza Strip and to terrorize journalists from performing their duties.
It pointed to the unprecedented international silence in modern history, emphasizing that the international community, the United Nations and its institutions, especially the Security Council, face a historic obligation to stand up against these crimes, massacres, and violations committed by the government of war criminal Netanyahu against journalists and all groups protected under international law, including innocent civilians, ambulance and rescue crews, relief workers, and others. She called on journalists around the world, as well as international press and media organizations, to work to expose the crimes committed against Palestinian journalists and to stand in solidarity with them in confronting the brutal war of extermination that the Zionist enemy continues to wage against the Gaza Strip.
