Xichang - Saba:
China launched a new communications technology test satellite into space from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center in southwest China's Sichuan Province early Friday morning.
The satellite, launched at 12:47 a.m. (Beijing time) aboard a Long March-3B rocket, successfully entered its planned orbit, Xinhua reported, citing the center.
The satellite will mainly be used to conduct verification tests of multi-band and high-speed communication technology.
According to the center, this is the 569th mission of the Long March carrier rocket series.
