Gaza - Saba:
Taher Al-Nunu, a leader in the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), said that the Zionist enemy is spreading misleading news about progress in negotiations and presenting new offers.
In statements to Al Jazeera Mubasher on Saturday evening, Al-Nunu indicated that the movement has not received any new proposals regarding a prisoner exchange deal within the ceasefire agreement.
He stressed that the movement is "ready" to release all prisoners in exchange for a prisoner exchange deal, a cessation of hostilities, and the reconstruction of Gaza, adding that the occupation's proposals are contingent upon the return of its prisoners without moving forward with a ceasefire agreement.
Al-Nunu said, "The problem is not the number of prisoners included in the exchange deal, but rather the enemy's reneging on its commitment to a ceasefire."
The Hamas leader reiterated his assertion that the administration of the Gaza Strip is a Palestinian matter, and that Hamas accepts the presence of any foreign administration or forces.
He emphasized that the resistance's weapons are not up for negotiation and will remain as long as the enemy remains.
This evening, the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) announced that its negotiating delegation, headed by Khalil al-Hayya, had traveled to Cairo, Egypt, in response to an invitation from the Arab Republic of Egypt.
The movement added in a statement that its delegation will meet and follow up with mediators from Qatar and Egypt, as part of its ongoing efforts and endeavors aimed at reaching an agreement and halting the Zionist aggression against the Palestinian people.
The movement affirmed that it is engaging positively with any proposals that guarantee a permanent ceasefire, a complete withdrawal of enemy forces from the Gaza Strip, an end to the suffering of the Palestinian people, and the conclusion of a serious prisoner exchange deal.
For the 27th day, the enemy continues its war of genocide, after reneging on the ceasefire agreement of March 18. The death toll has reached 1,563 martyrs and 4,004 wounded, according to a statement from the Ministry of Health yesterday, Friday.
