The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Sana'a University, in cooperation with the Higher Agricultural and Fisheries Committee and the Bani Al-Harith Multipurpose Agricultural Cooperative Association, organized the first veterinary medical camp for the treatment of livestock.
At the inauguration, in the presence of the director of Bani Al-Harith district, Hamad bin Rakan, the dean of the college, Dr. Abdul Rauf Al-Shawkani, explained that the camp will provide treatment services for sick cattle and cows, with cases of weakness, emaciation, worms, sandworms and others, in addition to instructing farmers on how to deal with such cases.
He pointed out that the camp, which will last 45 days, will be attended by fifth-level students at the college and workers from animal health, divided into three teams to provide treatment services for livestock in the province.
For his part, the head of the Bani Al-Harith Multipurpose Agricultural Association, Dr. Sadiq Al-Jadmi, said that the camp's services will be provided free of charge to more than 50 neighborhoods in the directorate. He called on farmers to cooperate with the veterinarians to benefit them.
