Ibb - Saba:
The Ibb Governorate Emergency Committee, in a meeting chaired by the Secretary-General of the Local Council, Amin Al-Warafi, discussed the measures required to address flood damage in the governorate center and districts, and evaluated current efforts by the governor's plan.
The meeting focused on strengthening the role of emergency teams in draining floodwaters and clearing roads, and utilizing the capabilities of relevant authorities to ensure a rapid response. The tasks of several service agencies were discussed, and the commencement of preventive measures was confirmed.
The meeting approved the implementation of urgent solutions and the continuous updating of damage data. Al-Warafi also emphasized the importance of coordination between agencies, providing the necessary funding and equipment, and enhancing preparedness and rapid response.
He also directed directorate directors to prepare comprehensive emergency plans, take measures to protect water, electricity, and communications projects, and conduct field visits to assess damage and monitor the condition of dams and barriers.
