The Lebanese Hezbollah condemned, on Tuesday, the crime of hundreds of settlers, over three consecutive days, desecrating the sanctity of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, by storming its courtyards and performing Talmudic rituals and committing provocative practices, under the protection of the Zionist enemy forces and led by extremist figures from the Knesset.
The party said in a statement that what Al-Aqsa Mosque was subjected to is "an aggressive and shameless scene in which the enemy aims to create a new and dangerous reality in the context of its settlement and Judaization project aimed at changing the Arab and Islamic identity of Al-Quds and its holy sites, thinking that its crimes in Gaza and the West Bank will distract the attention of the nation from its repeated violation of the first of the two Qiblas and the heart and crown of the Palestinian cause."
"These aggressive practices, in which the enemy and its settlers take advantage of religious holidays and occasions to desecrate Al-Aqsa Mosque, are a cause for anger for every Muslim in the world and a provocation to the feelings of the Arab , Islamic peoples , their countries, and must prompt them to take serious action to stop these violations," it added.
The party called on the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the Arab League, the scientific metropolises, the scholars of the nation and the free world, to take urgent action and assume their historical responsibilities, raise the voice loudly in the face of the continuous desecration of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, and work effectively and strongly to stop the US-backed Zionist criminality on Palestine and the region.
On Tuesday morning, hundreds of extremist settlers stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque from the Mughrabi Gate, under heavy guard by the Israeli enemy police, on the third day of the so-called "Passover" Jewish holiday.
The Department of Islamic Endowments in occupied Al-Quds reported that 1231 settlers stormed Al-Aqsa and toured its courtyards.
