Sana'a - (Saba):
The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning forecasts continued thunderstorms of varying intensity across several governorates over the next 24 hours.
The center reported in its weather bulletin that moderate to heavy thunderstorms are expected to fall on the governorates of Ibb, Dhamar, Taiz, Lahj, Al Dhale'e, Raymah, and Amran.
Moderate-intensity rains, some of which are heavy and sometimes accompanied by thunder, are likely to fall on the governorates of Saada, Hajjah, Al Mahwit, Sana'a, Al Bayda, Abyan, Shabwah, the coasts of Hadhramaut and Al Mahrah, and parts of the southern coast. Rain may also affect scattered areas of the Tihama Plain.
According to the center, rainfall over the past 24 hours, measured at some meteorological stations, reached 61.6 mm in Dhamar, 29.1 mm in Ash Shihr (Hadhramaut), 21.4 mm in Ba'dan (Ibb), 12 mm in Hajjah, 2.5 mm in Taiz, 2.2 mm in Amran, and 3.5 mm in the capital, Sana'a, and 40.2 mm in the governorates of Amran, Al Mahwit, Al Bayda, Lahj, Marib, and Al Jawf.
The center warned citizens of flash floods in valleys and ravines, thunderstorms, strong downward winds, and reduced horizontal visibility on mountain roads due to rain, low clouds, and fog.
It advised caution and avoid crossing over ground bridges during flash floods.
