The Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, affirmed that the Israeli enemy's bombing of the Baptist Hospital in Gaza, destroying the reception and emergency building, and displacing the patients and wounded there, is a new war crime committed by the fascist enemy army, as part of its series of brutal crimes in the Gaza Strip.
Hamas clarified in a statement issued early Sunday morning that this brutal crime confirms once again that we are facing a criminal entity that has violated all humanitarian laws, regulations, and norms, operating with American cover and complicity, amidst the complete suspension of all international accountability tools.
It wondered: How can the world, and its political and legal institutions, led by the UN Security Council, remain silent about these unprecedented crimes in the modern era, which include the targeting and bombing of hospitals, the perpetration of massacres there, and the abuse of patients and the wounded, displacing them in the streets?
It held the US administration fully responsible for the brutal Israeli crime at the Baptist Hospital, stressing that it would not have occurred without the green light granted by Washington.
It called on the international community, the United Nations and its institutions, and our Arab and Islamic countries to take immediate action to stop these blatant violations of international law and to shoulder their political and moral responsibility to end this ongoing brutal genocide in the Gaza Strip.
It emphasized that the peoples of the Arab and Islamic nations, and all free people of the world, face a historic responsibility today to prevent this criminal isolation of the Palestinian people in Gaza and the continuation of their annihilation and abuse. This must be done by escalating popular movements in all arenas and squares, and by exerting all possible pressure to halt the brutal massacre in the Gaza Strip.
