Dhamar - Saba:
A project to survey and expand the main road connecting Juma'at al-Amri, Sha'b al-Harrah, Bayt al-Ansi, al-Rawbah, and Sa'ad in Jabal al-Sharq district of Dhamar province was commenced on Sunday.
This initiative is community-led and receives support from the Central Emergency Development Interventions Unit of the Ministry of Administration and Local and Rural Development.
The project, a collaborative effort between the district's local authority and the Jabal Al-Sharq Multipurpose Cooperative Society, involves surveying and expanding a 33.3-kilometer road to a width of six meters, at a total cost of 19,625,000 Y.R.
The district director, Mohsen Shaqdam, highlighted the local authority's commitment to encouraging community-driven initiatives that address essential community needs, particularly road infrastructure. He expressed appreciation for the Central Emergency Development Interventions Unit's support in realizing these initiatives.
Bilal al-Haisa, representing the Central Interventions Unit in the directorate, stated that the project's implementation reflects the directives of the revolutionary and political leadership to achieve development in the most underserved rural and remote areas.
Mohammed al-Suni, director of the Community Initiatives Department in the district, emphasized the significance of community initiatives as a crucial step towards community development and in bolstering the state's efforts to implement service projects, especially given the challenges posed by the ongoing conflict and blockade.
