Hodeida - Saba:
A member of the Supreme Political Council, Sultan Al-Sami'i, condemned in the strongest terms the crime of targeting the Ras Issa port in Al-Hodeida province, which resulted in the death of hundreds of martyrs and wounded port workers.
In a statement to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), Al-Sami'i stressed that this criminal act comes in the context of the ongoing aggression against the Yemeni people and constitutes a blatant violation of all international norms and conventions, especially international humanitarian law, which criminalizes the targeting of civilian and economic facilities.
He pointed out that targeting a civilian port that provides vital services to citizens once again reveals the nature of the aggression and its goals, which do not distinguish between military and civilian, holding the aggressor countries fully responsible for this crime.
He stressed that such attacks will not deter Yemen from its principled positions, saying: "We will not abandon our firm stance in support of our people in Gaza, and our support for the Palestinian cause will remain firm no matter what the sacrifices are." The member of the Supreme Political Council expressed his sincere condolences to the martyrs' families , and the speedy recovery of the wounded.
