A meeting between the leadership of the Ministry of Economy, Industry and Investment and the Chairman , members of the Administrative Reform, Insurance and Human Development Committee of the Shura Council discussed aspects related to the development of a work matrix to reduce unemployment.
The meeting emphasized the importance of crystallizing ideas to prepare an executive action matrix for the ministry and all relevant authorities that is realistic and contributes to alleviating unemployment.
The meeting discussed what the ministry is doing in cooperation with the competent authorities to develop a mechanism to facilitate the access of small and micro enterprises to exemptions from all government fees included in the new investment law, in order to encourage , develop the small , micro enterprises sector and create new job opportunities.
For his part, Chairman of the Administrative Reform, Insurance and Human Development Committee in the Shura Council Saleh Beynoun appreciated the invitation of the leadership of the Ministry of Economy and Industry to hold this meeting based on the study prepared by the committee on mechanisms to alleviate poverty and absorb unemployment.
He praised the role of the ministry's leadership in issuing the new investment law and the advantages, incentives and privileges it includes to preserve national capital as the main engine of development in the country.
The meeting also discussed a number of concepts to develop an executive action matrix to absorb unemployment by encouraging labor-intensive projects, exploiting local capabilities and resources, developing general, technical, vocational and university education, and harmonizing education outputs with the requirements of the labor market.
He approved the formation of a joint committee from the ministry , the Shura Council Committee to crystallize ideas , develop an executive action matrix for all government agencies and expand the committee's membership to include all relevant agencies and the private sector.
