Sana’a - Saba:
A meeting held on Tuesday in Sana’a Province, chaired by Governor Abdulbasit Al-Hadi, discussed the difficulties hindering the performance of developmental cooperative societies in various sectors.
The meeting, attended by the Director of the Office of Social Affairs and Labor, Majid Al-Ghaili, the province’s agricultural sector official, Engineer Ali Al-Qiri, and heads of sectoral associations, reviewed the evaluation results of the societies’ activities and work submitted by the Community Initiatives Department and the Office of Social Affairs.
Participants emphasized the importance of revitalizing the role of cooperative societies, rectifying their conditions, and improving their developmental performance by adhering to periodic plans and reports, preparing final accounts on time, , identifying and reinforcing success factors to advance developmental work in service of society.
They stressed the need to address shortcomings and implement priority tasks, noting that developmental cooperative societies in various sectors and districts represent a strong front in confronting different forms of aggression.
The attendees urged adherence to the evaluation’s recommendations regarding financial, administrative, and agricultural activities, as well as responsiveness, follow-up, and submission of annual reports and final accounts. They affirmed the local authority’s commitment to supporting these societies, providing them with opportunities to enhance efficiency, rectify their conditions, improve developmental and social performance to elevate their work.
