His Excellency Field Marshal Mahdi Al-Mashat, President of the Supreme Political Council, sent a message of condolence and sympathy on the death of Mohammed Ali Al-Afifi, known as the Dean of Yemeni Inventors, who passed away at the age of 77 after a life full of achievements.
In his message to the family and relatives of the late Al-Afifi, President Al-Mashat praised the deceased’s notable contributions and innovations that enriched the national landscape in various vital fields.
He also highlighted Al-Afifi’s role in the television sector, being one of the founders of Yemen TV in 1975 and the inventor of several devices, most notably a teleprompter for news broadcasting. Al-Afifi had also earned multiple certifications in the field of television studio engineering.
President Al-Mashat expressed his heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased and the Al-Afifi clan in Hijrat Bani Al-Abbas, Thula District, Amran Governorate, as well as to all innovators and creative minds across the country.
