Sana'a - Saba:
The Presidium of the Yemeni Parliamen, in its meeting today chaired by Speaker Yahya Ali Al-Ra’i, expressed its full support for the qualitative military operations carried out by the Yemeni Armed Forces deep inside the Zionist entity in the occupied Palestinian territories.
The Presidium affirmed Yemen’s legitimate right to defend itself, support the causes of the nation, and respond to the criminal Zionist aggressions. It reiterated Yemen’s steadfast position in continuing to support the Palestinian cause by all available means until the aggression and blockade against both the Yemeni and Palestinian peoples are brought to an end.
The Presidium strongly condemned the ongoing Zionist attacks on civilian infrastructure in Yemen, including the latest assaults on the ports of Hodeida and the Ras Katheeb power station.
It described the Zionist aggression as a blatant violation of Yemeni sovereignty, a breach of international humanitarian law, and a deliberate targeting of the Yemeni people's infrastructure and resources. The Presidium stressed that continued Israeli attacks aim to pressure Yemen into abandoning its support for the Palestinian people—an attempt it deemed futile.
The Presidium also voiced its deep dismay over the silence of the international community and the failure of Arab and Islamic nations to respond to the criminal acts perpetrated by the Israeli enemy in Gaza and the occupied Palestinian territories.
It called upon the international community, the United Nations, the Security Council, and all affiliated bodies, as well as free nations and peoples around the world, to take urgent action to stop the aggression and lift the blockade on the Gaza Strip, emphasizing the moral and humanitarian responsibility toward the suffering of the Palestinian people.
During the session, which was attended by the Secretary-General of the Parliament, Abdullah Al-Qasimi, and Deputy Secretary-General Abdulrahman Al-Mansour, the Presidium also reviewed legislative matters and made appropriate decisions.
At the opening of the meeting, Speaker Al-Ra’i emphasized the need to unify efforts to face the challenges of the current phase and the consequences of the aggression and blockade.
He also stressed the importance of enhancing cooperation among constitutional institutions to accomplish shared responsibilities and reinforce national unity in confronting the conspiracies being waged by the Zionist enemy against Yemen and the broader Arab and Islamic nations.
