Sana'a - Saba:
The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning has forecast thunderstorms across several governorates, with strong winds hitting the eastern and southern coasts, the Gulf of Aden, and the Socotra Archipelago over the next 24 hours.
The center stated in its weather bulletin that thunderstorms of varying intensity are expected to fall on parts of the governorates of Bayda, Dhale'a, Taiz, Ibb, Dhamar, Raymah.
Scattered rains, sometimes accompanied by thunder, are likely to fall on parts of the governorates of Mahwit, Hajjah, and the west of Sana'a, Amran, and Saada, as well as on parts of the highlands of Lahj, Abyan, Shabwah, Hadramaut, the Tihama Plain.
It indicated the possibility of strong to very strong winds hitting the Socotra Archipelago, the Gulf of Aden, and the eastern and southern coasts.
The amount of rainfall measured at meteorological stations in Ibb-Al-Saddah over the past 24 hours was 9.8 mm, Bayda: 4.6 mm, Tur Al-Baha-Lahj: 3.8 mm, and Taiz: 2.9 mm.
Scattered rains fell on parts of the mountainous highlands and interior plateaus.
The center warned citizens of thunderstorms and of staying in or crossing floodwaters during and after rainfall.
It also warned seafarers, fishermen, and ship captains of rough seas and high waves around the Socotra Archipelago, in the Gulf of Aden, and along the eastern and southern coasts.
