Dhale’ - Saba:
Abdullatif Al-Shaghdari, the Acting Governor of Ad-Dhale’, inspected on Thursday the progress of work at the geological survey site in the Harada area of Damt District, implemented by the Geological Survey and Mineral Resources Authority.
He received a detailed briefing from specialists about the project, which falls within the authority’s efforts in geological exploration and investigation of the region’s rock formations. The study aims to identify concentrations of sulfide minerals and assess their impact on hot water sources.
Al-Shagdhari emphasized that the project is being carried out in coordination with the local authority leadership in the governorate. He dismissed rumors circulating on some social media platforms about an alleged investment project or drilling operations as entirely unfounded.
He reaffirmed the commitment to protecting and preserving tourist sites, stressing that any activity in these areas is conducted based on scientific studies. Such efforts align with sustainable development goals, serve the public interest, and safeguard the natural and touristic features of the site.
