The Argentine national team retained its lead in the monthly FIFA World rankings, released Thursday by the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA).
The top five remained unchanged, with Argentina, Spain, France, England, and Brazil holding onto the top five positions, respectively, while Portugal moved up one spot to sixth.
The Netherlands dropped one spot to seventh, and Belgium maintained eighth place. Germany and Croatia each moved up one spot to ninth and tenth, respectively, while Italy dropped two spots to eleventh.
Thanks to its victory in the CONCACAF Gold Cup, Mexico moved up four spots to thirteenth, while the runner-up, the United States, moved up one spot to fifteenth.
The Moroccan national team maintained its 12th place globally, topping the list of Arab teams, followed by the Egyptian national team in second place in the Arab world, despite dropping two places to 34th globally. Algeria remained in 37th place globally and third in the Arab world, while Tunisia ranked 49th globally and fourth in the Arab world.
