Sana'a - Saba:
A first aid training course for employees of the General Authority for Water Resources and Facilities began today in Sana'a. The course is organized by the Authority in coordination with the Yemeni Red Crescent Society.
The three-day course aims to provide 25 trainees, both male and female, with skills on the principles and objectives of first aid, general examinations, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and how to deal with bleeding and provide first aid to injured persons.
Participants will learn skills in dealing with trauma, poisoning, burns, fractures, splints, transportation, and tourniquets, enabling them to provide immediate and early rescue and first aid services.
At the opening ceremony, Eng. Abdul Karim Al-Sufyani, Undersecretary of the Water Resources and Facilities Authority, highlighted the importance of the course in developing the capabilities of employees and qualifying them in the field of first aid.
He commended the Yemeni Red Crescent Society's support for training the Authority's personnel in first aid and early rescue, emphasizing the Authority's leadership's commitment to developing the capabilities of its members, particularly with regard to first aid training in light of the ongoing US-Zionist aggression against the country and the field operations carried out by the Authority and its staff. Undersecretary Al-Sufyani noted the course's theoretical components, which train participants in first aid under various circumstances, equipping them with skills such as "proper rescue of the injured, rapid examination, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, airway obstruction and suffocation, mass casualties, and how to deal with fractures and wounds and transport the injured."
