Taiz - Saba:
Al-Rahda Customs Center in Taiz governorate destroyed a quantity of electronic hookahs containing narcotic substances.
Center Director Mohammed Al-Jabri confirmed the items were previously seized by customs officials as part of ongoing efforts to combat smuggling of goods harmful to society and the national economy while protecting consumers from dangerous products.
The destruction was attended by Deputy Director for Enforcement Fahd Al-Muadhin along with directors of Drug Control Anti-Smuggling Security and Intelligence departments.
Using advanced tail-inspection camera technology the center also discovered three concealed stashes of medicines and cigarettes hidden in fuel tanks of vehicles impounded for years in smuggling cases that went undetected previously due to lack of such inspection capabilities
