Rome – Saba:
AS Roma announced today the signing of Daniele Giallardi from Hellas Verona in their fifth summer transfer move.
The 22-year-old defender joins on a five-year contract until 2030 and will wear jersey number 87.
Giallardi developed through Fiorentina's youth academy before joining Verona in 2022 with loan spells at Mantova and Sampdoria.
Last season he made 24 Serie A appearances for Verona.
Internationally he represented Italy at U20 and U21 levels including the 2023 U20 World Cup where Italy reached the final.
This marks Roma's fifth summer signing following acquisitions of Brazilian Wesley França Irish forward Evan Ferguson Moroccan Nayl Ainawi and Colombian goalkeeper Davis Vásquez.
The young Italian defender strengthens Roma's backline as the club prepares for upcoming domestic and European competitions.
