The Russian Defense Ministry announced on Sunday that its armed forces had targeted the infrastructure of a Ukrainian military airport, long-range drone launch sites, as well as personnel and military equipment of the Ukrainian Armed Forces across 139 areas.
In a statement, the ministry said:"Operational-tactical aviation, attack drones, missile troops, and artillery of the Russian forces inflicted damage on the infrastructure of a military airfield, production facilities, drone storage warehouses, and a fuel depot of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, as well as enemy personnel and equipment concentrations in 139 areas."
The statement added: "Units of the Russian 'Center' group improved their positions along the frontline, advanced deeper into enemy defenses, and inflicted human and material losses on the Ukrainian Armed Forces in several areas of the Donetsk People's Republic and Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. The Ukrainian forces lost over 375 soldiers, armored combat vehicles, and several field artillery pieces."
It continued: "Units of the 'South' group seized more advantageous lines and positions, targeting Ukrainian personnel and equipment in several areas of the Donetsk People's Republic. Enemy losses amounted to approximately 185 soldiers, combat vehicles, and several field guns. Additionally, an Israeli-made radar station and three ammunition depots were destroyed."
The Russian Defense Ministry further stated: "Units of the 'East' group continued advancing deeper into enemy defenses, striking Ukrainian personnel and equipment in multiple areas of the Donetsk People's Republic and Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. Enemy losses reached around 200 soldiers, combat vehicles, and several field artillery pieces."
The ministry added: "Units of the 'West' group secured more advantageous positions, targeting Ukrainian forces in several areas of the Donetsk People's Republic. The enemy suffered losses of roughly 220 soldiers, combat vehicles, and several field guns, along with the destruction of five ammunition depots and four electronic warfare stations."
According to the ministry’s statement, "Russian air defense systems intercepted two HIMARS rockets and 274 Ukrainian drones."
