Gaza - Saba:

The Palestinian Prisoners' Defense Center reported Sunday that Israeli forces continue holding 24 Gaza doctors under inhumane conditions.

The center documented systematic torture of detained medics leading to the deaths of doctors Adnan Al-Barsh and Eyad Al-Rantisi after severe abuse according to Palestinian Safa Agency.

UN reports from WHO Physicians for Human Rights and Human Rights Watch confirm healthcare workers face torture physical violence and psychological abuse during detention.

Since October 2023 over 400 medical staff including doctors nurses and administrators have been detained with many released during prisoner exchanges without formal charges.

The center urgently demanded WHO and UN intervene to secure the immediate release of Palestinian medical personnel from Israeli prisons.
