Donetsk - Saba:

The head of the Donetsk People's Liberation Front, Denis Pushilin, announced on Monday that Russian forces have improved their positions on the Velikonovoselkovsk axis in Donetsk and are continuing to advance into the territory of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.

RT quoted Pushilin as saying in a video posted on his Telegram channel: "On the Velikonovoselkovsk axis, we are observing an improvement in the positions of our units. The advance is now extending into the territory of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast."

Pushilin noted that the liberation of the city of Chasov Yar opened up an operational space for Russian forces, allowing them to advance in several directions, including towards the city of Konstantinovka.

On Thursday, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that the "South" group of forces had liberated the city of Chasov Yar in the Donetsk People's Liberation Front as a result of its offensive operations.

Pushilin explained that the enemy's logistical links in Donetsk territory are being systematically cut off, noting that the distance between the recently liberated village of Alexandru-Kalvino and the city of Konstantinovka has become "less than five kilometers."

Fightings also continue on the Konstantinovka axis for control of the town of Katerinovka, with Russian forces advancing in the area of the village of Yablonovka.

Pushilin confirmed that the Russian armed forces are continuing their advance on all major axes in the Donetsk People's Republic, expanding their control over new positions.

Separately, the Donetsk People's Republic office of the Joint Coordination and Monitoring Center announced yesterday, Sunday, that a civilian was injured in the Petrovsky district of Donetsk city as a result of an anti-personnel mine explosion.

Sputnik quoted the office as saying on its Telegram channel: "Donetsk, Petrovsky district... A man born in 1973 was injured as a result of a mine explosion."

The office added that as of August 3, the total number of civilians injured by anti-personnel mine explosions had reached 188, including 12 children, three of whom died.

The Petrovsky district, located on the western outskirts of Donetsk, is the farthest area from the city center and has been subjected to repeated attacks by Ukrainian armed forces since the Donetsk People's Republic declared its independence from Kyiv in 2014.
