Sweida - Saba:

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported on Monday that 21 people have been killed in the clashes in the Syrian province of Sweida since they began on July 13, bringing the total number of victims to 1,517, including 300 who were executed or liquidated.

The Britain-based Observatory stated that this follows a new violation of the truce yesterday, which included the closure of the Busra al-Sham humanitarian crossing, which was reopened this morning. This coincided with renewed clashes and the control of armed groups over Tal Hadid and several surrounding sites, amid attempts to advance toward the western outskirts of Sweida.

This brings the death toll since Sunday morning, as a result of clashes, field executions, and Israeli shelling, to 1,517.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights confirms that the continued escalation and the absence of any radical solutions to stop the fighting portend further human losses. It calls on all parties to abide by the truce, protect civilians, and permanently open humanitarian corridors.
