New York – Saba:
The emergency session of the UN Security Council regarding the Israeli entity’s plan to fully occupy Gaza has been postponed to tomorrow, Sunday, after initially being scheduled for today, Saturday.
The Anadolu Agency reported, citing diplomatic sources, that the session was delayed by one day without clarification on the reason for the postponement. The sources indicated that the emergency meeting will now begin at 10:00 AM local time in New York City.
The request to convene the emergency session was submitted by all Security Council members except the United States and Panama, while Washington insisted against holding the meeting.
With American and European support, the Israeli enemy army has continued to commit genocidal crimes in the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, resulting in the martyrdom of 61,369 Palestinian civilians, most of them children and women, and the injury of 152,850 others as of today. These figures remain non-final, as thousands of victims remain trapped under rubble or in the streets, unreachable by rescue and medical teams.
