SANAA, Sep. 3 (Saba) - A cooperation agreement between the General Authority for Regulating Land Transport Affairs (GARLTA) and the Yemen Remote Sensing and GIS Center (YRSGISC) is signed in Sanaa to update and create a digital map for road transport services in Yemen, "the first phase in the capital Sanaa.
The agreement included providing a digital database for roads, parking places, public parking, bus or taxi stops, and international and local transport lines to serve urban, interurban, and international transport.
Deputy Minister of Communications and Information Technology Dr. Hashem Mohammed al-Shami considered the signing of the agreement a positive step for providing a database and information that would contribute to providing services to citizens in various developmental and economic fields, through the modern digital map, especially land transport services.
The agreement signed by the chairman of the authority Walid al-Wade'e, and the chairman of the center Dr. Khaled Khanbari.
