TEHRAN, Aug. 20 (Saba) - Iranian government spokesman Ali Bahadori Jahromi considered that trusting America makes no sense in international relations and that dealing with it must be through capacity, pride and guarantees adequate.
The Fars news agency quoted Jahromi in a Friday tweet marking the anniversary of the US coup that toppled the people's government of Mohammad Mossadeq in Iran in 1953, saying that three lessons are drawn from this coup to remain in the memory of the Iranian people forever and constitute a balance in the decisions of Iranian politicians.
These lessons are: America fears an independent and strong Iran, and trust in America is meaningless in international relations, and dealing with it must be through capacity, pride and guarantees adequate.
