SANA'A December 10. 2023 (Saba)-Agriculture and Irrigation Minister in the caretaker government, Engineer Abdul-Malik Al-Thawr, met today,Sunday, with the International Committee of the Red Cross(ICRC) team headed by the Economic Security Coordinator in Yemen, Abdul-Razzaq Moallem.
The meeting discussed the committee’s interventions in livestock projects in Yemen for the year 2024 AD, and the establishment of beekeeping centers in a number of provinces.
The meeting touched on the committee’s activities in implementing veterinary vaccination campaigns for livestock by vaccinating four million and 655 thousand heads of sheep and goats in four provinces.
Possible interventions were also reviewed in rehabilitating veterinary clinics in Al-Jawf province , Tihama region, providing refrigerators, vaccines, veterinary supplies and tools in a number of provinces.
In the meeting, the Minister of Agriculture stressed the keenness to provide the necessary facilities to implement activities related to animal health and veterinary quarantine, which will be implemented by agricultural offices in the provinces.
