Sana'a – Saba:
The First International Conference on Emerging Technologies for the Reliable Internet of Things was launched at Sana'a University today, organized by the College of Computer and Information Technology with the participation of 331 researchers from Yemen and 28 Arab and foreign countries.
Prime Minister Ahmed Ghaleb Al-Rahwi, who attended the opening of the conference, stressed in his speech the importance of developing scientific research and investing Yemeni minds to contribute to the country's renaissance, noting that sustainable development depends on creativity and innovation in various scientific and technological fields.
For his part, Minister of Education and Scientific Research Hassan Al-Saadi stressed the need to enhance information and technological security, noting that educational institutions in Yemen, despite the challenges, continue to achieve achievements at the local and international levels.
The President of Sana'a University, Dr. Al-Qasim Abbas, stressed the importance of partnership with international universities such as the German University of Offenburg and the Iraqi University of Al-Nahrain to keep pace with scientific and technical developments, pointing out that scientific research represents a practical solution to the technical problems facing Yemen.
The two-day conference discusses 81 research papers dealing with various fields, most notably:
Internet of Things.
Cybersecurity and blockchain.
Artificial intelligence.
Emerging technologies and entrepreneurship.
Embedded systems and communication technologies.
The conference also witnessed the opening of an exhibition of posters and research projects, in addition to the presentation of modern technologies and innovative projects from technical and academic companies.
