Hajjah - Saba:
The Secretary General of the Agricultural Cooperative Union in Hajjah province, Ammar Al-Rabaei, inspected the rice farms and fields in Al-Lubainiya area of Khiran Al-Muharraq.
Al-Rabaei, along with a number of mobilization officials, social figures and Khiran Al-Muharraq Association, listened to an explanation from farmers about the remarkable growth in rice cultivation and the importance of conducting studies on introducing new varieties, such as long-grain rice, to enhance agricultural diversity.
During the visit, the challenges and opportunities facing farmers were discussed.
The farmers expressed their full readiness to cooperate with the relevant authorities in any directive that would contribute to improving rice production, developing it, and finding marketing mechanisms that ensure the marketing of their crops, which will enable them to expand the cultivation of rice.
They emphasized the role of Khairan Al Muharraq Association in providing modern technologies that facilitate the harvesting, sorting and screening processes.
The farmers appreciated the association's interest in providing a peeler, which will be provided during the harvest season to help them in the process of peeling rice grains.
