MOSCOW March 14. 2024 (Saba) - Russia on Thursday described US plans to build a temporary seaport on the Gaza coast to provide humanitarian aid to the Strip as "dancing on bones," calling it a "fake project" and the first "peace."
This came in the response of Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova to a question by the correspondent of the Turkish agency "Anadolu" at a press conference in the capital, Moscow, about the seriousness of the US initiative to build the temporary port in Gaza.
"This is dancing on bones, ridiculing people, when civilians die there every day, we need to talk about their fate, not about some imaginary future projects that primarily need peace to implement," Zakharova said.
The Russian spokeswoman pointed to the United States' obstruction of the call for a ceasefire in Gaza, saying: "When a country does not want to formulate a call for a ceasefire, how can we deal with its initiatives to build civilian infrastructure, where it does not want a ceasefire?"
