The Lebanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the Israeli attack on a densely populated area in the southern suburbs of the capital, Beirut, which caused panic among civilians and material damage.
In a statement issued on Sunday, the ministry called on the "countries sponsoring the cessation of hostilities arrangements to pressure Israel to stop its repeated aggressions and violations of UN Security Council Resolution 1701 and its related security commitments, as they undermine regional peace and security, as well as Lebanon’s efforts to preserve national sovereignty."
Earlier on Sunday, Israeli enemy aircraft launched a new aggression on Beirut’s southern suburbs, targeting a building in the Hadath-Al-Jamous area. The airstrike completely destroyed the targeted site and caused significant damage to the surrounding area.
This attack is part of a series of ceasefire violations committed by Israeli forces since the end of the aggression on Lebanon in November of last year.
