GENEVA May 07. 2024 (Saba) - The Zionist enemy authorities prevented the United Nations on Tuesday afternoon from reaching the Rafah land crossing in the Gaza Strip, according to a spokesman for the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs.
At a regular press briefing in Geneva, OCHA spokesman Jens Laerke said, "We are not currently at the Rafah crossing because the Office of Coordination of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT) refused to allow us access to this area," the main crossing point for humanitarian aid.
The Zionist enemy army had penetrated at dawn today into the Rafah land crossing, and closed it completely, which led to the suspension of the movement of passengers and the entry of aid into the Gaza Strip.
The Palestinian News Agency reported that enemy vehicles stormed the crossing, at dawn today, amid heavy shelling and fire on its buildings, and occupied it completely, and prevented the movement of travelers, especially the sick and wounded, and the entry of humanitarian aid, or the transfer of accumulated aid to the people of the Gaza Strip in the southern and northern areas, which portends famine and a real danger to the lives of patients.
