GAZA May 26. 2024 (Saba) - Aid trucks have begun to enter the Gaza Strip through Kerem Abu Salem commercial crossing on Sunday, for the first time since the start of the Zionist enemy's ground attack on the city of Rafah in the south of the Strip on the sixth of May this year.
The Palestinian News Agency (WAFA) reported that the aid trucks departed from the Egyptian side of the Rafah crossing along the border with the Gaza Strip, reaching Kerem Abu Salem crossing before entering the Strip.
It added that the trucks will be handed over to the United Nations, and from there they will travel along the Palestinian-Egyptian border to the area of "Tel al-Sultan" west of the city of Rafah, and then they will be transported into the depth of the Strip via the coastal "Rashid" street.
It clarified that the expected number of trucks entering the Strip today is up to 200 trucks, each carrying between 15 to 20 tons of aid, including 4 trucks loaded with fuel.
Meanwhile, the Zionist enemy forces continue their military operations in the city of Rafah in the south of the Gaza Strip and the closure of the Rafah border crossing despite the orders of the International Court of Justice regarding this matter.
Last Friday, the International Court of Justice, the highest judicial body in the United Nations, ordered the Zionist enemy forces, the occupying power, to immediately cease their military operations in Rafah and to ensure the opening of the Rafah crossing to enable the entry of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip.
