OCCUPIED QUDS July 22. 2024 (Saba) - The so-called General Assembly of the Zionist Knesset approved a bill to classify the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) as a terrorist organization.
On Monday evening, 50 members approved and 10 objected in the Knesset the first reading of the bill submitted by the Knesset member from the "Israel Beiteinu" party, Julia Milinovsky. On May 29, the Knesset approved in a preliminary reading the classification of UNRWA as a "terrorist organization", and the immunity and privileges granted to it were canceled.
After approving the law in the first reading, the Knesset still has to vote in the second and third readings in one session in favor of the bill for it to become effective.
Under the bill, any relationship between the Zionist entity and the UN agency, whether directly or indirectly, will be terminated, and it and its employees will be treated as a "terrorist organization" in accordance with the Anti-Terrorism Law.
